Major changes in the works for downtown Napa

from the Napa Valley Register, 2/14/17

In a downtown district on the cusp of major transformations, the Napa retail and real-estate scene saw steady growth in both depth and breadth in 2016, according to a city report.

As the city’s core acquired new wine tasting rooms, restaurants and boutiques, it also became home to newcomers such as a craft-beer taproom and small-scale pop-up shops. Meanwhile, major landmarks found new occupants and second lives, as the famed Blue Note jazz club took over the lower floor of the Napa Valley Opera House and the Culinary Institute of America revived Copia from the food and wine center’s eight-year hibernation.
